The Ceredigion Heritage Coast has so much to offer:

Within easy reach of Penbeili Mawr are many stunning coves and beaches. With its safe sandy beach the little cove of Mwnt is ideal for children to swim and play.  Magnificent views of Cardigan Island and Cardigan Bay with its dolphins and seals can be seen from the cove. The area around Mwnt is National Trust and the beautiful church dates back to the early 1400’s.

Llangranog lies in a narrow valley and is rather reminiscent of a Cornish fishing village.  The headlands and cliffs offer excellent walks and the sheltered cove and sandy beach is suitable for all the family.  Llangranog has 2 pubs and 2 cafes.

Further up the coast is the tiny old Smugglers Cove of Cwmtudu.  Atlantic Grey Seals and their pups can often be seen here from August onwards and there are beautiful scenic walks along the cliffs.

Boat trips can be taken from nearby New Quay, set at the southern end of Cardigan Bay, New Quay is popular for its sandy beaches, coastal walks and also its family of Bottlenose Dolphins that remain there throughout the year.  Dolphin Survey Boatrips are available from Newquay www.cbmwc.org and Cardigan Bay Watersports and Sea-School is located near the lifeboat station by the harbour www.cardiganbaywatersports.org.uk

There is much to see at New Quay Honey Farm including the unique exhibition about the life of the honey bee. www.thehoneyfarm.co.uk

Aberaeron  is just 4 miles north of New Quay and  was once a very busy little harbour town.  With its pretty harbour, colourful houses, small shops and craft centre, it is a popular tourist centre. Coastal voyages can be taken from Aberaeron. Tel: 01545 570142
